VIDVIEW / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Effective
Using a downloader involves processing information. This policy explains what the current VIDVIEW website handles and what it does not currently use.
Who is responsible and how to contact us
VIDVIEW is the service name. For privacy requests, email support@vidview.net. Any formal operator information required by applicable law remains subject to owner and legal review. See Contact & Support for request guidance.
Information used to provide the service
- Submitted links and media details: the video or playlist URL you submit, available formats, titles, thumbnails and processing results are used to show download options and carry out your request. Do not submit private links or confidential information.
- Network and request information: servers receive your IP address and request details. Network information is used for delivery, security and request limits. Operational records may contain request paths, times, response codes, job identifiers and failure categories.
- Temporary jobs and files: the service creates identifiers, progress records and temporary media while preparing and delivering a file. A download link can grant access to its file while it remains valid; do not share it unintentionally.
Temporary storage and retention
VIDVIEW is not a personal media library. Working files are cleaned up after processing, delivery, cancellation or expiry, as applicable. Undelivered files and abandoned work are subject to periodic cleanup. In-memory job and format records also expire or disappear when the service restarts. A failure can delay cleanup; these are operational cleanup processes, not a promise of immediate or secure erasure.
Security and operational logs are separate from media files. Logs rotate or are limited by storage budgets, so retention varies by log type and system activity. We do not offer a permanent download history or a file-recovery service. Files saved to your own device remain under your control.
Cookies, browser storage and analytics
The current VIDVIEW application does not set first-party cookies, store a browsing history in local storage, or load an analytics or advertising tracker. Page state is held in memory. Your browser may cache static assets and keeps its own download history. The Paste control reads the clipboard only when you choose it and your browser permits access.
Other services involved
Hosting and processing infrastructure handles information needed to operate the service. Requests for source media and metadata go to the relevant platform. When a result displays a thumbnail, your browser may contact Google’s image servers directly; they receive network information and may process existing cookies according to browser settings and their policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Links to other websites lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices. Infrastructure providers may process information in other countries. The operator must finalize applicable provider, location and privacy-law disclosures before public launch; this page does not claim that every jurisdiction’s requirements have been met.
Advertising is not active
No Google ad code, advertising consent manager or advertising cookies are currently activated by VIDVIEW. If advertising is introduced, this policy must first identify the providers and explain their cookie, data-use and consent choices. Required consent controls must be available before the relevant technology is used. Future advertising is not covered by a blanket consent to this policy.
Your choices and requests
You can stop using the site, avoid submitting a link, restrict third-party requests in your browser and delete files you saved. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information. Send privacy requests to support@vidview.net. Do not send passwords, account cookies or sensitive documents with a request.
Updates
Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes, particularly new advertising or tracking, require an appropriate notice and any legally required choice before activation.
